“Bloomfield Hall is a modern school in a meaningful sense: it offers modern systems and technologies in education and also provides an environment which is liberal and progressive to encourage an attitude of critical enquiry amongst its pupils.”

Our Founder

Nadeem Qasir – 1949-2026

In loving memory of Bloomfield Hall School’s visionary Founder and Chairman, Nadeem Qasir.

Nadeem Qasir was not merely a businessman guided by numbers; he was an educationist par excellence—an academic, a thinker, and the author of more than sixty publications. His seminal book on Pakistan Studies, published by Oxford University Press, reflected his deep commitment to rigorous and progressive education. He championed a modern approach to learning—one that nurtured critical thinking, encouraged questioning, and empowered students to challenge ideas.

In 1994, he founded UCL (Universal College Lahore), one of Pakistan’s first institutions to offer University of London degree programmes locally, opening global academic pathways for countless students.

Over the course of forty years, Mr. Nadeem built an empire of schools and universities, shaping the landscape of Pakistan’s educational systems. He did this, not for prestige, but for purpose.

He was a quiet man, never boastful about his achievements, nor his charitable works. He uplifted countless lives, many of whom now walk paths of distinction.

As we ask what the world will look like without him, we find the answer all around us—in the lives he shaped, the values he instilled, and the legacy that will continue to guide generations.

About Us

Bloomfield Hall is one of the major educational institutions in Pakistan. It was established in 1984 by educationists from the UK and Pakistan. The aim of the project was to provide British style education leading ultimately to British qualifications. Pupils of Bloomfield Hall are prepared for the GCE ’O’ and ’A’ level examinations of the UK examining bodies.

Since its establishment, Bloomfield Hall has developed in two major directions. It has opened schools in various cities in Pakistan. It has also assisted in the provision of higher education in Pakistan: in Lahore, one of its sister institutions – University College Lahore – offers degree programmes of the University of London in various disciplines including Economics, Management, Accounting, Law and Information Systems.

A school is much more than a medium through which academic training takes place. All educated parents (with time on their hands) can do this quite effectively at home without sending children to school. School is not merely a teaching academy!
A good school provides opportunities that a single household cannot. It enables students to socially interact, teaching them the rules of interaction when they venture out in the real world – enabling them to live in a civil society. It teaches them tolerance in face of opposition or even provocation, to agree to disagree, to have a democratic perspective, to observe social etiquettes such as forming queues and waiting for one’s turn, to be disciplined, to acquire success through diligence and hard work.
School is a microcosm of society at large: it prepares us for entry into adulthood equipped with skills to cope with the challenges of adult life and to turn setbacks into triumphs! School is NOT simply an academy to prepare children for exams!

Bloomfield Hall aims to equip its pupils with the tools they need to participate successfully in the 21st century – robust mathematical and scientific knowledge, a competent and confident command of languages and the furtherance of students’ creative and sporting skills. To nurture the spirit of critical enquiry is also its aim, as the basis of scientific and cultural progress.
A good school removes blinkers and opens up the world for its pupils, whilst also teaching respect for traditional values, and consideration for others’ feelings and beliefs. Pupils are led to an awareness of poverty and injustice, to develop a sense of fairness, tolerance and goodwill, and to attain good examination results at the same time.
This was the philosophy behind the establishment of Bloomfield Hall in 1984 and remains our motivating force today.
